Depression and Anger: coping with these two that affect the mental state
Depression and anger are both negative emotions. But they seemingly are still on opposite ends of the spectrum. One of the two emotions can be be seen by people exhibited by an affected person. While the other one can be unnoticed.
As a family counselor San Diego I have seen both emotions. Both of them if too serious need addressing. They are not issues you can leave alone and hope to go way. When you are angry you can hurt other people. You can harm yourself if depressed.
So let’s take a look at anger first. Anger is a volatile emotion. It is natural and it happens to all of us.But people sometimes release all their pent up anger. It could seem uncontrollable sometimes. If you let it get the best of you then that’s a problem. But those are the times when you need to control it.Other people can be hurt physically or emotionally due to anger. If it gets too much you need to seek some anger management San Diego.
The next emotion is called depression. It may be unnoticed not like anger where it is very obvious when experienced. The main reason is because most people hold in their depression. But it will get noticed eventually. The usual sign that someone already need to seek help is when it already becomes noticeable. Why would someone need professional help? Because a person severly depressed can do harm to themselves. It is dangerous because people keep it to themselves. If a person gets to the point of severe depression they need professional help such as depression counselor.
It can be hard on someone to deal with emotional problems. Most people going through these types of problems feel like they can work it out.Or they feel as if they don’t need other people’s help. But it is at that time that they need to seek help the most.It is unacceptable for them. But when you are dealing with emotions that can hurt the affected and the people around him, then you need to do it.
